I drove by Billy Graham's home a few days ago and thought about how great it would be to have a national figure who could speak peace to the whole nation...

The quotes below came from  a message delivered by Billy Graham on April 21, 1995 after the Oklahoma City bombing.

Dr. Graham reminded the crowd:

The Bible says, in Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

And he told them that:

Times like this will do one of two things: They will either make us hard and bitter and angry at God, or they will make us TENDER and OPEN and help us to reach out in TRUST and FAITH. ...I pray that you will not let bitterness and poison creep into your souls, but that you will TURN IN FAITH and TRUST in GOD, even if we cannot understand. It is better to face something like this with God than without him.

I believe we would do well to apply this wisdom during tough times we many not understand.
